During one of the torrential downpours we had late last summer, we noticed that we had a leak in our roof. This spring, I started contacting various contractors for a roof replacement quote. Out of all of the people I had come to view and get quotes, there was only one that bothered to look in the attic and that was Ganser. This is important because I ended up having some black mold started. Ganser used a systematic approach to fixing the problem that involves inspection of ALL of the elements such as proper soffit ventilation, bathroom fan ventilation, and proper attic air flow. They found that for some reason, the entire North side of my roof was blocked of ventilation. There had been continuous soffit vent material placed over plywood with only a few small openings on each side of the roof soffit overhang. Along with this, there had been plywood installed between the rafters up tight to the roof deck blocking all air flow on the North side of my house. I ended up having them do a total roof and soffit replacement on our house along with all new larger gutters. During this process, we found other issues where moisture was a problem that caused some rotting in different areas of the roof overhang. This caused compaction of my attic insulation which had to be removed as a precaution due to the mold. At the same time, they suggested having all of the penetrations for electrical wires and light fixtures foam sealed prior to replacement of insulation which I did have them do as well. They called me several times to verify their start date and answer any questions that I had. They started on time and performed all of the functions within a few days time. I am extremely satisfied with the results. All of their workers are extremely good and they never hesitated to answer questions, show me how they fixed the problems that were identified, and provide me with any information that I needed. Everything was done with a focus on proper repairs. I could not be more pleased. Had I chosen to go with the cheapest repair, I would have ended up with a new roof and continuing problems. The main issue was that the bathroom fans were not properly vented, causing the majority of the moisture problems and with little ventilation there was no way for it to dry out. This would have led to some very major issues in a few short years. Not one other company noticed or informed me of any of these issues and would have gladly replaced my roof and not fixed the problem. Yes, the project ended up costing us more money than anticipated, but now I know that my investment is properly protected for many years to come and I have an excellent warranty to back that up. If we were to sell this house after a few years of retirement as planned, within the next 5-10 years we would have had some very major expenses with another roof replacement. I am so thankful to Marc Ganser and his staff of professionals for their considerable knowledge, understanding, and craftsmanship throughout this project. They have all proven to be trustworthy, timely, honest, thorough, and committed to customer satisfaction. Words cannot explain how thankful I am to them for assistance in protecting a very valuable asset and most importantly the well being of my family by eliminating the mold problem in the early stages and fixing the problem. I now know that I have a very solid roof with ridge vents and soffit ventilation, foam sealed attic penetrations, new insulation, and properly vented bathroom fans. For this, I am truly grateful and can guarantee that Ganser WILL be part of our next home project.

We’ve had Ganser do several projects for us since we moved into our home in late 2014 (gutters, soffits, porch overhang, bathroom, and a Trex deck). All projects have turned out wonderfully. The only issue we have had was with the apron on the deck. The vertical face board pulled away from the deck...yuck. Marc Ganser answered our call for help and had contacted Trex for a solution. A Ganser carpenter came out and completed the fix. It looked great for one season and then warped again. Whoops.... When we called again, Marc came back out and problem solved with us. Within a couple of weeks we had a new apron/solution and we have no doubt this fix will be a winner! Ganser is obviously a company that follows through! Thank you Marc. Thank you Ganser Company.
